Fathers/Partners Support Group
It's a big change.
Bi-weekly Thursdays • 6–8 PM • The Midwife Center (Strip District, Pittsburgh) *Pay what you can*
Becoming a parent is a profound transition—one that brings joy, responsibility, identity shifts, and new pressures. Alex is proud to co-facilitate a bi-weekly support group for fathers and non-birthing partners, open to the entire community. Held at The Midwife Center in the Strip District, Pittsburgh, this group offers a space to slow down, connect, and talk honestly with others navigating life with a new baby.
Our gatherings are welcoming, judgment-free, and grounded in the belief that partners also deserve meaningful support during the perinatal period. Whether you’re adjusting to the early days of parenting or further along in your journey, come join us!
Common topics fathers and partners often seek support around include:
-
Balancing parenting responsibilities with work and personal life
-
Supporting a partner through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery
-
Changes in identity, roles, and relationships
-
Sleep deprivation and fatigue
-
Emotional wellness and coping with stress, anxiety, or overwhelm
-
Building confidence in new parenting skills
-
Navigating communication challenges with a partner
-
Adjusting to changes in intimacy and connection
-
Understanding infant development and bonding
-
Managing expectations—from self, partner, family, and culture
